A legacy of useful faith.

The Fondation Aladji Siaibou Sallé Cisse honors a distinguished Islamic scholar whose education was measured by what it made possible for others: dignity, nourishment, learning, worship and a stronger community.

6family legacies, united in one promise
to serve across West Africa.

Why this foundation exists

Scholarship with a heart for the community.

Born in Waounde and rooted in the Cissé Khoulinko tribe, Aladji Siaibou Sallé Cisse was the great-grandson of Mamadou Djom Kheiry. He became a deeply educated Islamic scholar, remembered not only for what he knew but for the generosity with which he lived. He helped his community quietly and consistently, joining spiritual wisdom with practical compassion.

The foundation bearing his name transforms that inheritance into focused action. Each program is dedicated to a family member whose life embodied a form of care—sacred spaces, an open table, exceptional education, belonging for orphaned children, love of the Holy Qur’an and the peace that reliable water brings.

Our ambition is intergenerational: to fund work that communities can trust today and institutions that will remain useful tomorrow.
